Cretin-Derham Hall is excited to name Kim Royston ‘06 as the new Head Football Coach.
Coach Royston brings a winning pedigree as a player, coach, and administrator to CDH football with a highly respected track record of student development, mentorship, and a love for everything Cretin-Derham Hall has to offer on and off the field.
In addition to coaching the defense for Raider football this past season, Royston previously coached at Robinnsdale Armstrong, Hamline University, and Temple University as well as serving as a MSHSL referee. He was also an Assistant Athletic Director at Shakopee High School and Athletic Director at Minneapolis Southwest, demonstrating a history of building an educational culture that promotes success, inclusion, and growth.
Coach Royston is in his third year as an Assistant Principal and Director of Dignity and Inclusion at CDH and will continue in these roles. His responsibilities include mentoring and supervising students, supporting and observing faculty, providing staff professional development, and serving on the Student Support Team.
Royston views this integral role as Head Football Coach as an opportunity to strengthen the school and the community by working alongside educators, families and students.
