Cretin-Derham Hall offers Boys Basketball at the Varsity/Junior Varsity, B Squad (tenth grade) and Ninth Grade levels. There are two ninth grade teams divided by talent. There are tryouts for all levels of basketball. 

Boys Basketball season begins Monday, November 18, 2019 for all levels. The Varsity Basketball Season is 18 weeks in length with section playoffs held in early March. Junior Varsity and B Squad teams compete from late November to early March. Ninth Grade teams will compete from December to mid-February. Holiday Tournaments on Thanksgiving Weekend and between Christmas and New Year's are on the schedule for most teams in the program. Varsity, JV, and B Squad practice typically between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. during the week with an occasional evening practice. There is also practice on Saturday mornings.  Ninth Grade practices typically start at 2:45 p.m. or 4 p.m. and and end at 4:15 p.m. or 5:45 p.m. Ninth Graders should also expect to practice Saturday mornings.

The fee for 9th Grade is $125. The fee for 10th Grade is $50, and the fee for JV/Varsity is $250. These fees cover participation, equipment, and help cover some costs associated with the sport. These fees are paid through the online registration process.
