I am pleased to announce that our team has earned Gold Academic Status for a team GPA of 3.75! The Minnesota High School Swimming & Diving Coaches' Association awards swimming & diving teams that have a GPA of 4.00-3.75 Gold Status Awards. Teams with a GPA of 3.50-3.74 earn Silver Status. This is the 17th year in a row that our team has earned either Silver or Gold Status! It is the 7th Gold Status for our team since the 2005-2006 school year when the award was created. Our most recent Gold Status was during the 2017-2018 school year. This year's Gold Status joins the ten Silver Status Awards the team has earned. Excellent job Gentlemen! Keep up the good work!
Cretin-Derham Hall Boys Swimming & Diving program offers competition at the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels. The Varsity Swimming & Diving Season is 14 weeks in length which begins on Monday, November 26, 2018 and concluding with the State Meet the first weekend in March.
The team will practice Monday - Saturday during the season and Christmas Break. Cretin-Derham Hall practices at the St. Catherine University in the Butler Center and at the University of St. Thomas in the Anderson Athletic Complex. Typically, CDH practices at St. Catherine on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the season and the month of January after school from 3:30-5:30. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays CDH practices at the University of St. Thomas from 7-9 p.m. The team will practice on Saturdays at either St. Catherine's or the University of St. Thomas. On days when school is not in session, practices may be in the morning, except when there are teacher in-service workshop days.
The Boys' Swim and Dive program is open to beginner and experienced swimmers and divers.
Transportation to and from practice sites are the responsibility of each participant. It is common for student carpools when going to and from practice.
