Tony Cicalello’00 Named Head Baseball Coach

Cretin-Derham Hall named Tony Cicalello’00 as Head Baseball Coach. He returns to CDH after most recently serving as the Varsity Coach for Benilde-St.Margaret’s baseball program.

While at Benilde-St. Margaret’s, he led the team to an impressive winning record, a conference championship and a trip to the state tournament.

Cicalello graduated in 2000 from CDH and went on to become a four-year starter at Saint Mary’s University, where he was twice awarded All-Conference and All-Region honors. He previously coached as an assistant at Cretin-Derham Hall, St. Thomas Academy and countless legion teams and youth development camps.

“Since I was a student at CDH, those values and traditions have been an important part of my life. I am excited to follow in the footsteps of one of my long-time mentors, Jim O’Neill, in coaching student athletes to reach their full potential on and off the field,” stated Cicalello. “It is an honor and a privilege to be back in the community, and I look forward to the future of CDH baseball.”

Phil Archer, Athletic Director at CDH notes, "We are excited to add Tony to our athletic department as the Head Baseball Coach. He brings a strong understanding of the CDH
baseball community and has a great vision for where we want to take CDH Baseball moving forward. Tony offers a new, fresh voice for our baseball program and CDH community."

Cretin-Derham Hall, a co-educational high school located in St. Paul, MN, is the largest Catholic high school in the state with 1070 students. The school is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and the Brothers of the Christian Schools.
