The game featured an entertaining battle between future Big Ten foes with Cretin-Derham Hall junior Daniel Oturu committed to play at the University of Minnesota while Lakeville North senior Nathan Reuvers is committed to play at the University of Wisconsin.

Oturu led the way for the Raiders with a double-double, scoring 28 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to go along with five blocks. 21 of his 28 points came in the second half as the junior hit 8-11 from the floor and 12-15 from the free-throw line in the game.

Reuvers closed out his high school career with a game-high 41 points and 12 rebounds to complete the massive double-double. He connected on 16-26 from the floor, 3-6 from three and 6-9 from the line in the game.

Junior Ryan Larson also filled the stat sheet for CDH as he added 18 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in a well-rounded effort in the win.

Cretin-Derham Hall led from wire-to-wire in the first half as they maintained a small advantage throughout. The Raiders jumped out to a 9-2 lead and eventually pushed it out to nine at 23-14 at the 8:08 mark, but the Panthers closed the gap. Lakeville North pulled within a possession at 32-29 before a late Jake Prince three doubled the lead and made it 35-29 at halftime.

Lakeville North had the deficit down to two at 37-35, but the Raiders started to pull away from there. The next 10 points went in favor of CDH as the Raiders returned their lead to double figures at 47-35. The Panthers pulled back within single digits several more times, including as close as seven at 49-42 and again at 68-61, but Cretin-Derham Hall held strong to close out the 71-61 victory.
