The course was set around the pond and through the woods at St. Catherine's University in St. Paul, MN, a familiar training course for many of the past and present Raider runners, just in time for the rain to start up again.
Undaunted by the weather runners from classes ranging from 1970 to 2014 came to participate in what has become a 19 year tradition on the first Friday of the Fall season.
The girls started the evening off showing what a year of experience coupled with a summer of preparation looks like. Senior Althea Gutzmann finished first in a time of 14:35, a full 1:42 faster than last year. Not to be out done Junior Molly Roberge lead the improvement race, but finished the course in third place. Roberge was 2:46 faster than a year ago on this same course. Check out the rest of the high schooler girls' results
The boys followed up nicely with a team race against each other and the alumni. In the end the Alumni and varsity tied at 29 points each. The 6th finisher for each team would then decide who won the race. This time the varsity would claim victory with a ninth place finish for their sixth runner as compared to a thirteenth place finish for the sixth alumni.
