This season, the Cretin-Derham Hall girls golf team is operating under a new format. The program functions through three teams: Varsity, JV purple and JV gold. Coach Megan Smith ’00 stressed to me the importance of this new system, saying, “I am most excited about the new format and working to reach our goals as a team:  to be competitive in the conference matches and at the Section and State Tournaments.”

With this new format, leadership is vital to the success of the team. The Raiders are led by captains Lily Vincelli ’24, Lauren Bengtson ’24, and Else Wermager ’24. Vincelli is committed to North Dakota State University, is the defending conference champion and is currently the number one ranked individual golfer in the conference.

Coach Smith says the team's biggest strength is playing well off the tee and they are all working to improve their short game - especially putting!” She is establishing a winning culture in Raider golf and is ready for future seasons, saying, “We are excited about the future of CDH girls golf as a competitive team that also works together to improve and support one another!”
