Raider football has advanced to the Section 4AAAAA Championship game this Friday, November 3. With four straight wins under their belt, CDH will travel to Mahtomedi High School to take on the Zephyrs.
The Raiders defeated Central High School in the section semifinals last week 49-17. The offense was firing on all cylinders totaling 369 yards in their win over the Minutemen. Quarterback Miles Bollinger ’24 went 8/10 for 215 yards and five touchdowns and was awarded “CDH Athlete of the Week” for his efforts.
Monteff Dixon ’25 led the Raiders in receiving with 3 catches for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tommy Sticha ’25 was the lead back, rushing for 95 yards and 1 touchdown on 13 carries. Linebacker Jadyn Harris ’25 provided an early spark with a 20-yard Pick-6 off of Central QB, Allan Lankfard.
The Raiders faced off with Mahtomedi in week six of the regular season, losing 34-18. This time around, CDH will need to find a way to stop the Zephyr rushing attack. In their first matchup, Mahtomedi ran for 328 yards and five touchdowns. CDH will look to make Mahtomedi throw the ball as they held Quarterback Charles Brandt to 67 passing yards in the first meeting.
Offensively, the Raiders will rely on their three-headed rushing attack of Sticha, Ja’Dale Thompson ’26, and Leo Weber ’24. The trio rushed for over 700 yards combined this season. The Raiders passing attack will look to continue their recent success behind an impressive offensive line.
The section championship game will be played Friday, November 3 at 7 pm in Mahtomedi. If the Raiders win, they will punch their ticket to the MSHSL football tournament.
