The softball team kicked off their regular season on April 12 and is currently in the midst of a momentum-building run. The team has won their last 4 games in a row which put them near the top of the Suburban East Conference standings.

CDH started with a difficult schedule, playing three days in a row against top competition in the Suburban East Conference, but they have since bounced back very strongly.

The standout game in this win streak was a 10-0 win against Irondale which led directly to a 5-2 victory over Roseville. This has put the team up to a 4-3 overall record this season.

First year coach Carolyn Osdoba leads the team and was named the Head Coach last July. She is joined on the coaching staff by Assistant Coaches Dennis Czech ’79, Nikki Conway ’02, and Teisha Devine. Together they offer years of experience in both coaching and playing on the field. This win streak is a promising start to Osdoba’s head coaching career at CDH and lays the groundwork for success in the future.

The Raiders have shown both the ability to put runs on the board to tally up the win column and the ability to pitch a no-hitter as demonstrated by sophomore Brooke Nesdahl '25 in the 5 inning rout over Irondale. Starting a 4 game win streak going into the middle stretch of the season is something the team is proud of and will look to continue going into May.

CDH’s next game will be another face-off against Irondale on April 28, on the road. The team’s final regular season matchup will be against Holy Angels on May 18. The team’s persistence to stretch through adversity this season will be valuable in Section play as the regular season concludes.
