Cretin-Derham Hall announced on Monday the hiring of Phil Walczak as the school's new head girls soccer coach. Walczak is currently employed by the St. Croix Soccer Club and is the former head coach of both East Ridge and Chanhassen High School boys teams.

Walczak has a reputation for building programs as he started the East Ridge program when the school opened and established Chanhassen as a strong program. Walczak also spent time as an assistant coach at Stillwater when they won a state championship in 2018.

"We feel fortunate to have hired such an experienced head coach who brings a wealth of soccer knowledge to the table," said CDH Athletic Director Matt Funk about Walczak. "Phil’s student-centered approach fits perfectly with our school’s philosophy. We are excited about the future of Raider Soccer!"
