The Competition Dance Team has been hard at work preparing for this season’s schedule, having participated in two competitions thus far. This includes their most recent appearance at Forest Lake, completing their first Jazz Conference competition of the season. The team builds upon a new coaching staff with a group of both returning and new team members.

The team is led by Co-Head Coaches Sarah Rosicki and Emma Kozicky. They have brought a spark to the team, bringing new mindsets and inspiring team members to achieve high goals. The team has a high energy level and there is a sense of excitement surrounding the team this season. Captain Rezza Sevenich ‘23 described this season so far as “full of motivation, passion, and family.” The group is full of dancers who inspire each other to push themselves and strive to achieve new goals while encouraging each other to do their best. The group’s motto this season is “new team, same dream”, motivating their push to reach State and earn a spot at Target Center. With the majority stretch of the season remaining, the team looks forward to what is in store for them. They have the foundation of a successful group built upon teamwork and a mindset to succeed. The team has reached great heights in recent years, winning a section championship in 2021, and they will look to further their achievements this season.

The team has five more scheduled competitions before section finals in February. The team’s next competition is December 2nd at Woodbury High School.
