The Girls Soccer Team has made many memories this year in some very entertaining matches this year. They have worked together to gain chemistry as a team leading to a number of impressive victories over the course of the season. The welcoming atmosphere of the team has led to an abundance of leadership and work ethic within the group. The team has shown sparks of something special this season and will look to close the season in similar fashion.

The team is led by Head Coach Meghan Schoeberl and Assistant Coach Rachel Wilson-King. They bring an unmatched level of motivation and have instilled a confidence within each athlete on the field. They want every player to succeed and truly want each player to reach the best they can be. There is a respect level on the team that has allowed teammates to connect both on and off the field. The team has been able to have fun, laugh and keep arms open to each other while having a maturity level on the field that leads to a focused mentality and promising results.

The team has shown flashes of dominance this season as 4 of their wins were a shutout. Every athlete is giving their best effort to help the team succeed. “Each and every individual brings something unique to the soccer field”, Cece Amann ‘23 described what makes this team special. This overall bond between players is building momentum heading into the most important stretch of the soccer season. The support from each other is off the charts, allowing the team to keep their head up while diving into their upcoming section matchups. They will begin sectional play this week when they travel to East Ridge on Wednesday at 5PM.
