Raiders Learn From Volleyball Star

On October 5, the Raider Volleyball team welcomed a very special guest. Regan Pittman, a former University of Minnesota All-American volleyball player, visited with the entire volleyball program and went through an intense skill and leadership development session.

“The players had a great day with Gopher Regan Pittman,” said Lead Parent Group Coordinator Amy Kircher. “Each team got some one-on-one skill development time with our favorite Gopher. Regan did a leadership session with the whole program and it was incredibly powerful to hear each player from 9-12th grade vocalize their leadership trait(s).”

Pittman just started Stand Tall Volleyball Academy, a training organization that works with girls to develop strong skills while making mistakes, learning, and growing. Pittman also talked to all the teams about empowerment and growth and spent time with each team during their practice.

“What an amazing group of young women we have in the Raider volleyball program,” Kircher added. “This event was a GREAT experience!” said Head Coach Sara Waters
