To celebrate our coaches who also teach or are staff at CDH, we're sharing a Q&A with each of them over the next few months! Today, meet Jerry Kline '93, a Boys Basketball coach and Dean of Students.

Did you participate in the sport you coach as a student-athlete? 
Yes, from 1991-1993.

What made you decide to coach?
The chance to form relationships with the student-athletes.

How long have you been coaching here at CDH?
19 years.

What do you love about coaching?
Molding kids into future leaders.

How does your experience as a coach improve your work?
Getting to know the kids on a personal level, transparency, and mentoring. My work improves my coaching in the same way.

Do you have any favorite memories from your time coaching?
I love building relationships with the kids, especially when they come back after graduation and I get to see what they are up to.
