That's a wrap!

CDH Girls Swim and Dive wrapped up their 2020 season at the end of October with a third place finish at the section meet. Congratulations to all swimmers and divers on a successful 2020 season! With many best times earned and new friendships formed, Girls Swim and Dive made it through our Covid season healthy and ready to take on 2021!

Starting with open water swims in July, hikes, weights, yoga, outdoor stretching, two training pools and lots of on the road meets, we succeeded!

A few highlights from our end of season meets:

With no JV Conference this year, our final JV meet vs. Woodbury allowed many swimmers to taper early and swim towards their best times.  Congratulations to Siobhan Wheaton for the largest time drop at the JV final meet!

Our final section meet ended the varsity season.  With no state meet this year, I would like to honor two CDH swimmers who would have made it to state minus covid restrictions:  Freshman Izzy Macheel achieved our highest place finish at the section meet with second place in the 100 freestyle.   Freshman Molly Magnuson achieved her best time in the 500 freestyle getting her state cut!  All three of our relays achieved fantastic third and fourth place finishes with best times across the board.

We are looking forward to honoring our swimmers and divers at an end of the season banquet when it is safe to do so.

Congratulations Team!
