2019-2020 Boys Swim & Dive Season Preview

Head Coach: Mike Steineman '92 (24th season)

Assistant Coaches: Kate Steineman '94; Shannon van Oosterom; Adam Weis '05;  Hannah Zobitz '13; Annette Crews (Diving coach)

The Boys Swim & Dive team is eager to get back in the water after finishing last season with a 5-4 overall dual meet record and a 4-4 dual meet record in the Suburban East Conference for a 5th place finish. At the 2018-2019 6AA Section Meet, the team placed 4th behind Edina, Hopkins, and St. Louis Park. With Isaac Wahlstrom '19 in the 50 Freestyle and Tor Cox '19, Adam Ernster '19, and Travis Teeter ‘20 joining Wahlstrom in the 200 Freestyle Relay, the team was 40th at the Class AA State Championships.

With the MSHSL realigning the sections, CDH has been moved from Section 6AA to Section 4AA with Stillwater, Tartan, North St. Paul, St. Paul Central, St. Paul Harding, Mounds View, White Bear Lake, and Roseville. “Stillwater is the team to beat in our conference and in our section,” said coach Mike Steineman.  CDH has its work cut out as they lost 11 swimmers to graduation. “Our biggest challenge will be rebuilding our sprinting corps,” Steineman added.

This year's team is lead by senior Captains Simon Baumberger ’20 and Alex Heer ’20. They are joined by their classmates Teeter and Ben Wicker ’20. In addition, a great group of new team members will help the Raiders fill in the holes left by graduation.

You can follow the Raiders on Twitter @RaidersSwimDive. In addition, several of the meet results will be on the MeetMobile app on your Apple or Android device.

Our home opening dual meet against Stillwater on Thursday, December 19, will be a very fast meet hosted by St. Catherine University.

Please come and support the Raiders this season in their quest for excellence!
