Raider Backhand Return

It has been a fast paced year for the Raider Girls Tennis team. On the court they have raced out to a 6-1 record in conference play including wins this week over White Bear Lake and Roseville, with just a handful of matches remaining Cretin-Derham Hall expects to be a strong contender in the sectional playoffs that begin in a few weeks.

The Raiders’ success on the court comes from hard work and practice, plus off-the-court team bonding experiences that have paid huge dividends to the team’s overall success.

Twelve members of the team were able to attend a team bonding trip earlier this month that the coach and captains planned.

“The trip included stops for big slices of pie in Stockholm, Wisconsin as well as the scenic historic sites on Lake Peppin. Our final destination was LaCrosse, Wisconsin for a paddle boat river cruise and some pizza at Big Al’s.” said co-captain, Laura Siefert ‘20.

“The friendships and trust built within our team has only made us stronger both on and off the court,” Siefert continued.

The Raiders have four matches left before heading to sectional playoffs begin in October.
