Ray Hitchcock (Honorary Raider Award) was a standout lineman at St. Paul Johnson and the University of Minnesota. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins where he won a Super Bowl. After his playing days were over, Hitchcock joined the coaching ranks and spent over 20 years coaching the CDH Football team winning two state championships. Ray has made a significant impact on many lives and the community of CDH.
Lauren Gibbemeyer ’07 - An All-American volleyball player at CDH. Upon graduation at CDH, Lauren attended the University of Minnesota as a volleyball scholarship athlete where she was a two-time AVCA All-American as is the Gophers all time leader in blocks. After college, Lauren went on to play for the U.S National Volleyball Team and in a nine year span would win five gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals in international competitions.
Ryan Harris ’03 - Ryan was an all-state football player and US Army All-American while at CDH. Upon graduating from CDH, Ryan enrolled at the University of Notre Dame where he was a football scholarship athlete. While at Notre Dame he started at offensive tackle all four years for the Irish. Ryan was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2007 and played nine seasons in the NFL winning a Super Bowl with the Broncos in 2015.
Natalie Roedler Bollinger ’98 - Natalie was a standout three sport athlete at CDH (Soccer, Basketball and Track and Field) and was recognized as one of the greatest 25 female athletes of the St. Paul City Conference. Natalie led her soccer and basketball teams to the state tournament. Upon graduation from CDH, she attended the University of Wisconsin as a soccer scholarship athlete. As a member of the Badgers from 1998 - 2002 she was a key member of the 2002 team that advanced to the Big 10 Championship game against Ohio State.
Jack Hananhan ’98 - Jack was an All-State Baseball Team as well as All-St. Paul City Conference and a member of the 1997 and 1998 state baseball championship teams. Upon graduating from CDH, Jack attended the University of Minnesota as a baseball scholarship athlete. He was named Big 10 player of the year in 2001 where he led the conference in home runs and RBIs. Jack went on to play eight seasons of Major League Baseball with the Detroit Tigers, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds.
Courtney Norman ’98 - Courtney earned nine varsity letters in Soccer, Gymnastics and Track and Field. Courtney led the Raiders Gymnastics team to consecutive state tournaments in 1997 and 1998 and was a 3X time state champion in the vault. Courtney was also the recipient of the 1998 Athena Award. Upon graduation from CDH, she attended the University of Minnesota as a gymnastics scholarship athlete. As a member of the Gophers, she was named All-Big Ten on the vault and floor in 2001 and was a key member of the 2002 team that qualified for the NCAA National Tournament.
Mike Scanlan ’70 - Mike earned nine varsity letters in Football, Hockey and Baseball. During his junior year at Cretin he threw four consecutive no-hitters and was the 1970 Padden Award winner. Mike went on to play football and baseball at the College of St. Thomas then began his career in education and coaching. As the head football coach at CDH, Mke was one of the most successful football coaches in state history compiling a record of 104-22 in 11 seasons including state championships in 1999 and 2009. Mike was inducted into the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2017.
Corbin Lacina ’89 - Corbin was a standout football player for the Raiders. In 1988 he helped the Raiders earn their first Prep Bowl appearance. Upon graduation from CDH, Corbin enrolled at Augustana University as a football scholarship athlete. After an outstanding career at Augustana, Corbin earned a number of post season awards. Corbin was then selected by the Buffalo Bills in 1993 and went on to play eleven seasons in the NFL with Buffalo, Carolina, Minnesota and Chicago. After his playing days were over, Corbin returned to CDH as an assistant football coach.
Cathy Childs Clyde ’85 - Cathay was a three sport standout athlete at Derham Hall participating in volleyball, basketball and track and field. Cathy earned All-Conference honors in all three sports and All-State in Track and Field. Cathay was the 1985 recipient of the Athena Award. Upon graduation from Derham Hall, Cathay enrolled at the College of St. Thomas where she earned All-Conference and All-American honors in track and field. After one year at the College of St. Thomas, Cathy transferred to the University of Minnesota where she was a member of the volleyball team earning varsity letters for the Gophers. Cathay has gone on to play professional volleyball and has competed in over 12 marathons including the Boston Marathon, New York Marathon and Twin Cities Marathon
