Cretin-Derham Hall Girls Lacrosse defense specialist Alexis Parker'18 has verbally committed to Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.

Parker was a member of the 2017 Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders Girls Lacrosse consolation championship team. The team posted a 16-3 record, largely by closing out opponent attacks. Parker and her defensive teammates only allowed one team to score more than 10 points during the 2017 season.

Parker earned a spot on the highly competitive 2017 Under Armour All-American Midwest Uncommitted team. In addition, Parker participated in the Nike Cup in Syracuse, NY, the Midwest Cup in Chicago, IL, and the STX Shootout in the Twin Cities over this past summer.

Parker is a Link Crew Commissioner, a Student Council VP for Public Relations, Co-President of the National Honor Society, and a Student Advisory Board Member while carrying a 3.9 grade point average. She participated on the Peru Justice Education Trip this summer. Parker is also a volunteer youth lacrosse coach.

Parker plans to pursue a double major in Spanish and Biology (pre-med) at Kent State.

Parker will be a charter member of the Kent State University Golden Flashes Women's Lacrosse Program, as they will begin their inaugural season of NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse in the 2018-19 academic year.
